New mobile units a boost for Banbridge High

Carla Lockhart MP • October 10, 2023

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart met with Banbridge High School Principal, Katy Feeney, last week to discuss the ongoing needs of the school. The DUP representative, working with school management, also welcomed the news that two new mobile units will be provided to the school in the near future.

Carla Lockhart said:

“Banbridge High School is a vibrant and growing school community, and it is therefore vitally important that the school estate continues to evolve to meet the needs of the pupils and staff alike.

For over two years I have been working with school management to address issues with the deterioration in condition of some mobile classrooms. I am delighted that we have now reached the stage where two new classroom units have been secured for the use of Banbridge High School. This is still very much a temporary solution, but an important short term measure whilst we continue to work towards ongoing development of the school estate.

I want to commend the Principal here, Mrs Feeney, for her ongoing leadership of the school and the improvements she is delivering for all pupils. That drive and determination is so important and I know in Mrs Feeney, the school has a very effective advocate. I will continue to work with the school in the future as seek further enhancements to the school.”
