Carla Lockhart MP Commends Community Support at Waringstown Vintage Cavalcade for Kidney Research
Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart, has praised the organisers, volunteers, and local community following a highly successful Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund Vintage Cavalcade held in Waringstown.

The annual event, which has become a well-loved tradition in the area, drew large crowds and showcased a wide array of vintage vehicles including tractors, classic cars and motorbikes all in support of life-changing kidney research and organ donation awareness.
Speaking after the event, Carla Lockhart MP said:
“It was a fantastic evening in Waringstown, with the village full of people enjoying the wonderful display of vintage vehicles and all for a great cause. There was a brilliant atmosphere and it was heartening to see so many people turning out to support the Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund.”
“This charity holds a special place in Waringstown, thanks to the legacy of Walter and Josie Kerr MBE, who founded and championed the work of the Fund for many years. It was lovely to see their memory honoured in such a meaningful way.”
“A huge well done to the organisers and the growing team of volunteers who made the evening such a success. Their hard work and dedication ensure that the vital work of this charity continues to receive the support it deserves.”
“The funds raised will go directly toward research and awareness helping to transform and save lives through improved treatments and greater understanding of kidney disease and organ donation.”
Carla Lockhart was joined at the event by her Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council colleagues Stephen Moutray, Paul Greenfield, and Mark Baxter, all lending their support to this important local cause.
