MP joins the fun at Church of the Nazarene

Carla Lockhart MP • August 22, 2023

Local DUP MP Carla Lockhart joined the crowds at Lurgan’s Church of the Nazarene, at their community fun day. The Church held the event for the local community on Saturday, with big crowds attending and enjoying the event.

The Upper Bann representative said:

“The people at the Church of the Nazarene have always shown a great heart for the local community. It is a very warm and welcoming church, that wants to make a positive impact on the lives of people in Lurgan and beyond.

It was lovely to join with the church on Saturday at their Fun Day. It was fantastic to see so many local people attending, and enjoying the range of activites and food on offer. There was certainly plenty for the children to enjoy, and plenty of chat over coffee for those that bit further on in years. The baking challenge also proved competitive and as a judge it was certainly not an easy decision as to who was the winner!

I want to thank the church family for all they do, and to Pastor Philip Evans and his wife Sharon and their team of volunteers who put so much work into holding this very successful event. I know it was enjoyed by all present.”
