VE Day 80 Funding – Applications Opening Soon!

Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart, is encouraging local groups to apply for funding from Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council to support VE Day 80th Anniversary celebrations. Financial assistance is available for voluntary, community, and social enterprise groups hosting tea parties, talks, exhibitions, and social events between 8th – 11th May 2025. 

The funding application process opens at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, 18th March, and closes at 12 noon on Monday, 31st March 2025. 


Carla Lockhart MP, speaking on the opportunity, said: 


"VE Day is a significant moment in our history, and it is important that we mark the 80th anniversary with fitting tributes in our communities. This funding provides a great opportunity for local groups to host events that bring people together to remember and celebrate the freedoms we enjoy today. I encourage all eligible groups to apply and make the most of this support."
