Final Call for Bible Donations to Support Kenyan Communities

Carla Lockhart MP • March 12, 2025

Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart, is urging the public to make a final contribution to an ongoing Bible collection effort led by The Northern Ireland Boys' Brigade (BBNI) in support of Logos Ministries International (LMI). The initiative aims to provide much-needed Bibles to communities in Kenya, where access to Scripture remains limited.

The final delivery of donated Bibles will take place on Thursday, 28th March, marking the close of BBNI’s collection. With many Kenyan Christians unable to afford a Bible—and students required to own one for secondary school enrolment—the donations will make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Carla Lockhart MP, speaking on the initiative, said:

"In Northern Ireland, many of us are blessed to have multiple Bibles, some of which go unused. Meanwhile, in Kenya, there is a deep need for access to Scripture. Through this initiative, we have a wonderful opportunity to share God’s Word in a very practical way. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has already donated—your generosity will have a lasting impact."

"With just a short time left to donate, I encourage anyone who has a spare Bible to consider giving it. Whether you drop it off at BBNI HQ or my offices in Lurgan and Portadown, I will ensure it reaches those who need it. Let’s work together to make this final push a success."

Donations can be dropped off at BBNI HQ (Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM) or at Carla Lockhart’s constituency offices in Lurgan and Portadown.
