Carla Lockhart MP • October 30, 2024

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has celebrated the 45th anniversary of the Scarva Street Girls' Brigade at a special coffee morning, honouring the dedication and community spirit fostered by the Brigade over the years. The event, held at Scarva Street Presbyterian Church, was filled with supporters, delicious treats, and heartfelt gratitude for the positive impact of the Brigade’s work in Banbridge.

Reflecting on the celebration, Carla Lockhart said, “It was a joy to join the Scarva Street Girls' Brigade in marking this incredible milestone. One of the true highlights was recognising Mrs Margaret Martin, whose 45 years of faithful service is an inspiration. Margaret has devoted her time and energy to guiding so many young girls, sharing Christ’s love in a way that has touched lives across generations. Her commitment is a powerful testament to her faith, and her positive impact on the Brigade and the wider community is truly remarkable.”

She continued, “Congratulations to everyone involved in the Scarva Street Girls' Brigade. Your dedication and hard work make a difference, and I am grateful to everyone who has supported this invaluable ministry. Here’s to many more years of service, growth, and community.”
