Upper Bann MP Addresses Both Lives Matter Rally At Westminster

Carla Lockhart MP • May 21, 2024

MP for Upper Bann, Carla Lockhart, has proudly addressed hundreds of people from across the UK in Parliament Square, standing together for the rights of unborn children as part of the Both Lives Matter campaign. The event, which gathered supporters from all walks of life, highlighted the critical importance of protecting both the lives of unborn children and the mothers.

"As Parliament progresses with the Criminal Justice Bill, I am committed to supporting and voting for pro-life amendments, voting against pro-abortion amendments, speaking out for both lives, and advocating for better services for women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy," the Member Of Parliament for Upper Bann stated.

Ms. Lockhart emphasised the necessity of comprehensive support for women experiencing crisis pregnancies. "Women in crisis pregnancies deserve our compassion and support. We must provide better services that offer real choices and help, rather than pushing them towards abortion," she asserted.

The Both Lives Matter campaign is dedicated to affirming the value and dignity of every human life including the unborn. The rally served as a powerful reminder of the shared commitment to this cause and the ongoing efforts to influence legislative changes that reflect these values.

"For those who believe in the inalienable right to life, I encourage you to keep praying, keep fighting, and keep your stand," Ms. Lockhart said to the crowds at Westminster. "The voices of the unborn and their mothers need to be heard in Parliament. I will be a vocal advocate for both lives, ensuring that our laws and policies respect and protect them. This is not just a political issue but a moral imperative."

Carla Lockhart MP's participation in the rally underscores her unwavering dedication to pro-life principles and her commitment to supporting legislative measures that safeguard the rights of unborn children and support women in need and opposing those which seek to jeopardise the lives of the unborn.
