MP welcomes ‘Corner Shop’ to The Birches

Carla Lockhart MP • November 1, 2022

Local Member of Parliament Carla Lockhart has visited the new convenience store in The Birches, ‘The Corner Shop’, to extend best wishes to the business for the future.

Commenting, Carla Lockhart said:

“It is fantastic to see this retail unit here at The Birches with a new lease of life.

Ally and Olive have done a fantastic job in revamping the interior and exterior of the premises, as they set up ‘The Corner Shop’ to serve the local community. It takes a lot of work to start a business but I know the folks here have the determination and drive to make this work.

A convenience store is a great addition to a local community, offering a personal service on your doorstep. I would encourage the people of The Birhces to get behind Ally and Olive in their new venture. Having seen around the store it is a lovely bright space with plenty of choice and value.

I wish Ally and Olive all the very best for the future.”
