MP continuing to take to the streets

Carla Lockhart MP • October 18, 2023

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has been out and about across the constituency in recent weeks, delivering a range of contact cards and resident updates that outline areas of work currently being pursued for local communities.

The DUP representative said:

“Whilst time at Westminster is invaluable for engaging with Government Ministers on issues impacting upon Northern Ireland and my constituents, I am always keen to ensure that people across Upper Bann know that I am here to help on the issues directly impacting upon them and their day to day lives.

Over the recess period for the various Conference events held by the political parties, I have been continuing to get out and about right across Upper Bann to engage with people. This has seen thousands of contact cards and resident update letters being delivered. My offices in Lurgan and Portadown are here to help people from the entire area, and I would encourage anyone with any issue on which they need assistance to reach out to my offices. We will always do what we can to help.

I will continue with this doorstep engagements over the coming weeks and months – it never stops, but is a key part of my work as Member of Parliament.

I want to thank all those who have helped me in this work – having a strong team of volunteers is essential and I greatly appreciate the help I have been given over recent weeks.”
