Lockhart welcomes Pines Park resurfacing

Local MP Carla Lockhart has welcomed the completion of resurfacing works at Pines Park in Lurgan. The scheme was championed by the DUP representative for some time with the Department for Infrastructure.

“I am delighted that the resurfacing works of the long-awaited road resurfacing project at Pines Park in Lurgan is nearing completion. This significant improvement is set to enhance the area for all residents who have had to wait for some time to see these works delivered.

 

The upgraded roadways will not only benefit road users but also pedestrians, including those with mobility issues with a number of dropped kerbs included in the scheme.

 

This scheme underscores my commitment to maintaining and improving the infrastructure of our local road network. I want to thank DFI for their work here in completing the scheme. Whilst we would have liked a widened entrance, this campaign will continue.

 

Overall this is a significant improvement and I am so pleased for residents that the work is of such a high standard.”
