Lockhart: ‘Boundary Review Means Big Changes For Upper Bann’

Carla Lockhart MP • April 23, 2024

Upper Bann Member of Parliament, Carla Lockhart, has been reminding constituents about the major boundary changes for Upper Bann being introduced from the next General Election. The new boundaries will also apply to future Assembly elections.

The DUP MP stated:

“Decisions made by the Boundary Commission for Northern Ireland will result in dramatic changes for Upper Bann. Some areas currently part of Upper Bann will be moved to a different constituency and some areas from neighbouring areas will become part of Upper Bann. These decisions were made by an independent body and are not something that I support. I will continue to represent all of those who are currently living in Upper Bann and am happy to assist anyone who lives in an area that is due to become part of Upper Bann.

”“I will very much miss representing the people in the areas that are departing Upper Bann. I never take any vote for granted, and it has always been an honour for me to serve the people of Upper Bann. I offer all of those who will be moved to another area the very best wishes.

”The areas that will join Upper Bann

Loughgall village and a small part of Mullahead Road.

:The areas that will be joining other constituencies:

Moving to South Down: Scarva and Loughbrickland

Moving to Lagan Valley: Aghagallon, Dollingstown, and Magheralin village.
