Lockhart announces Town Centre Business Engagement Day to support local traders

Carla Lockhart MP • March 18, 2026

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has announced a dedicated Town Centre Business Engagement Day as part of her ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses and hearing directly from those operating in town centres.

The engagement day will take place on Monday 30th March 2026 and will provide an opportunity for business owners to meet with Ms Lockhart, share their experiences, raise concerns and discuss the support they need.

Carla Lockhart MP said:

“Following recent engagement with town centre business owners, I am continuing to make myself available to hear directly from local businesses.

I am hosting a Town Centre Business Engagement Day to provide an opportunity for business owners to speak openly about the challenges they are facing and the support they require. It is vital that their voices are heard and represented.

I am available to visit businesses, meet privately or arrange a Teams call throughout the day to ensure as many people as possible can take part.

If the date does not suit, I would still encourage business owners to get in touch so that we can arrange a time that works for them.”

Ms Lockhart added that supporting local businesses remains a key priority and that ongoing engagement is essential to ensure the right support is delivered.

“To book an appointment, please contact my office directly. I look forward to continuing to engage with and support our local business community,” she said.
