"What an honour to be invited to attend such a momentous occasion for Seapatrick LOL 217. I hot-footed it from Westminster to be there and was delighted to do so," said Lockhart.

The event, held at Nesbitt’s Farm, was marked by a strong turnout from the local community, showcasing the loyalty and support of Seapatrick residents. The evening's celebrations included a parade led by the Downshire Guiding Star Flute Band and Seapatrick Flute Band.

Lockhart praised the lodge's leadership and membership, recognising their efforts in maintaining the traditions and values over the past 150 years. She also extended her gratitude to the Nesbitt family for providing the venue and refreshments.

Carla concluded, "150 years of preserving and promoting our culture and heritage, espousing our Christian faith, and parading the King’s highway. Well done to all those involved in leadership in the lodge and for the membership. Also to the Nesbitt family who provided the venue and the eatables," Lockhart added.

The service of thanksgiving featured remarks from District Master Stuart Magill, whose distinguished leadership continues to guide the Banbridge District.

"This cause we shall maintain," concluded Lockhart, reinforcing her support for the lodge's mission and values.
