Veterans Roadshow a vital support for servicemen and women

Carla Lockhart MP • April 4, 2022

DUP MP Carla Lockhart has thanked Veterans Commissioner Danny Kinahan for organising an excellent Veterans Roadshow in Portadown last week.

Speaking after visiting the event at the Seagoe Hotel, Carla Lockhart said:

“We have a very large veterans community living here in Upper Bann. They are highly respected in our community, and we want to do all we can to ensure they have the whole range of support they need, and the opportunities on their doorstep after they leave the ranks of service.

This Veterans Roadshow was an excellent event, with over 30 organisation present to offer a range of advice and support to our veterans community. From speaking to those in attendance I know many have made connections that will benefit them greatly in the days ahead. That makes it all worthwhile.

This event is a credit to the organisers and I want to thank our local Veterans Commissioner, Danny Kinahan, for his work in this regard and for his advocacy for those who served Queen and Country. Their service sacrifice must never be forgotten, and as local MP I will always be a voice for our service men and women.”
