Progress made towards safety improvement at Bridge Integrated PS
Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has welcomed confirmation from the Department for Infrastructure that a more detailed assessment of safety provisions at Bridge Integrated Primary School will be taken forward when resources are made available.

Carla Lockhart said:
“The Ballygowan Road is a busy road, and a number of parents have raised their concerns around the safety of children entering and exiting Bridge Integrated Primary School.
I have been pressing the Department for Infrastructure to carry out an assessment to ascertain what more can be done to improve safety at the school for the benefit of pupils, staff, and parents. Recently I made representations directly to the Minister as I believe this is a matter of urgency that requires the Department to act.
The Department has now carried out an initial assessment and this has evidenced that a more detailed assessment of the site is justified. It is important that resources are now made available to take this forward as soon as possible.
I will continue to engage with the Department to progress this piece of work and to help bring about safety measures for all those at Bridge Integrated PS.”
