Progress made for Drumford residents

Carla Lockhart MP • October 24, 2023

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has reported some progress towards permanent solutions to issues facing residents at Drumford Meadows and Drumford Close in Portadown, as a result of problems resulting from road adoption delays.

The DUP representative said:

“Residents at Drumford Meadows and Drumford Close have faced many frustrations as a result of delays in the road adoption process. This has escalated with the withdrawal of bin collections from households, causing additional hassle for those living there. I have requested an urgent review of this decision by the Council, and will advise residents of the outcome in due course.

I have been also chasing completion of the site to allow the adoption process to be completed. Sewer defects are currently being corrected, and resurfacing can take place after these are fixed. It is hoped that this can be completed in the next few weeks.

Residents can be assured that I will continue to press for the necessary steps to be taken to bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion as soon as possible, and I will provide updates on progress as and when such progress is made.”
