Portadown Bowling Club goes from strength to strength

Carla Lockhart MP • April 4, 2023

Local MP Carla Lockhart joined members of Portadown Bowling Club at the commencement of the new bowling season this weekend. The DUP representative was given the honour of delivering the first bowl of the season.

Carla Lockhart said:

“It was an honour to attend the launch of the new bowls season at Portadown Bowling Club, and to be given the privilege of delivering the first bowl of 2023. I may need a little practice if I am to make the team any time soon!

I want to commend the club for their professionalism and the way they approach all their activities. Under the President, Kenny Lamond, the Club is in safe hands and of course I know Nixon Armstrong offers guidance and help as club representative to the NIBA.

The Club is always on the lookout for new players – both male and female – to bolster the ranks, and I would encourage people to get involved. Bowls is a great past time, and a great way to meet people and socialise. I know Portadown Bowling Club would offer a warm welcome to anyone interested in joining.”
