Operation Bibles for Kenya Appeal Completed – Hundreds of Bibles from Upper Bann Headed to East Africa

Carla Lockhart MP for Upper Bann has confirmed the successful completion of the “Bibles for Kenya” appeal, with hundreds of Bibles now en route from Upper Bann to schools and communities across Kenya.

The appeal, organised as part of a partnership between the Northern Ireland Boys’ Brigade and Logos Ministries International, received outstanding support from individuals, churches, and organisations across the Upper Bann constituency.

Earlier today, Carla Lockhart MP delivered the final donation from her collection of approximately 500 Bibles to the Boys’ Brigade Northern Ireland Headquarters.

Carla Lockhart MP said:

“I am delighted to confirm that the Bibles for Kenya appeal has now been successfully completed. Earlier today, I had the privilege of delivering the final batch of around 500 Bibles to the Boys’ Brigade headquarters, marking the end of a truly inspiring campaign.

“Across Upper Bann, the response was overwhelming. Hundreds of Bibles were donated by generous individuals, families, churches, and community groups, all united by a shared desire to bless others. Each of these Bibles will now make its way to Kenya, where they will be used in schools and communities to share God’s word and provide spiritual nourishment.

“While the collection is now closed, I believe the true impact is only beginning. These Bibles will go far beyond the pages, they will bring hope, encouragement, and light to many.

“A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this appeal and to the Boys’ Brigade and Logos Ministries International for their vision and partnership. It has been a joy to be involved.”

The Bibles are expected to be distributed in the coming weeks through established ministry networks in Kenya.
