Carla Lockhart MP for Upper Bann was delighted to attend the Glenavon FC Ladies’ Afternoon Tea event, held in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. The afternoon was a great success, bringing together local women in support of a vital and much-loved cause.

Hosted at Glenavon Football Club, the event featured a delicious spread provided by Monree Farm, Donaghcloney, and offered attendees the opportunity to come together in friendship, fun and fundraising.

Speaking after the event, Carla Lockhart MP said:

“It was a real pleasure to be invited to join the Glenavon FC Ladies’ Afternoon Tea. The atmosphere was so warm, welcoming and full of community spirit. More importantly, it was all in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, a service that supports some of the most vulnerable children and families in our society.

“Events like this showcase the best of our community, their kindness, generosity, and a willingness to come together for others. A special thank you must go to Sarah-Ann Wilkie, Joanne Mulligan, and Leigh McClune for their outstanding efforts in organising such a wonderful afternoon.

“The food was outstanding, and my thanks go to Monree Farm in Donaghcloney for providing such a beautiful spread. It really was a lovely event that I was proud to be part of.”

Funds raised from the event will go directly to supporting the work of the NI Children’s Hospice, which provides specialist care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
