New feature at Portadown Train Station a credit to local Rotary Club

Carla Lockhart MP • November 21, 2023

Local MP Carla Lockhart has expressed her gratitude to the Rotary Club of Portadown and Translink for the provision of a new entrance feature at Portadown Train Station. A Thomas the Tank Engine BBQ has been transformed into a new welcoming feature.

The body contThe DUP MP said:

“This is a lovely addition to the Train Station area and is of course quite fitting!

This piece of equipment was presented to the Rotary Club by Mr Sean Hagan and after securing some funding the club restored it and kindly donated it to Translink. It will certainly catch the eye of those using the station and I have no doubt will become very popular for photographs, and for kids in the area that love trains!

My thanks go to the Rotary Club of Portadown for pursuing this project to this point and for all those who played a part in making this feature a reality. Thanks also to Translink for facilitating this new installation at Portadown Train Station.”
