MP joins Banbridge HS at Buckingham Palace tribute

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has joined with Banbridge High School teacher, Miss McCrum, to lay a floral tribute on behalf of the school at the gates of Buckingham Palace, to mark the death of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Carla Lockhart said:

“The Queen was held in such high regard and with deep affection by people of all ages. It was always telling that when she was in public and meeting with people, she always made time for young people. In return, our younger generations loved her greatly.

It was lovely to attend the laying of flowers by Miss McCrum on behalf of Banbridge High School, at the gates of Buckingham Palace. The sea of flowers and tributes is simply breathtaking. It reflects the esteem in which Her Majesty was held, and the depth of sorrow and loss felt across the nation.

I commend the school for making this solemn tribute and know it will be greatly appreciated by the pupils, staff, families and wider community associated with Banbridge High School.”
