MP calls in for coffee at Church Community Coffee Stop

Carla Lockhart MP • January 31, 2023

Carla Lockhart MP joined with members and friends of Portadown Independent Methodist Church at their weekly Community Coffee Stop, held each Friday from 10am-12pm at their church hall.

Encouraging people to pop along to the event, the Upper Bann Member of Parliament said:

“Churches across Upper Bann offer so much to our local community. Here at Portadown Independent Methodist Church, the congregation are doing a great work in reaching out in the local area.

One such way to do so is the weekly Community Coffee Stop, held in the Church Hall each Friday from 10am to 12pm. This is a very relaxed and welcoming event, offering anyone attending a chance for renewing friendships over a coffee or to meet new people in a warm, comfortable environment.

Special mention must go to Mrs Mander who is so instrumental in making it happen along with her band of helpers. Mrs Mander and her late husband have shown a lifetime of care and love for the people of the Portadown area, and we are so thankful for their lifetime of service. It was also uplifting to meet Mrs Meta Dunlop, and to hear of her work as a missionary in Nigeria.

I would encourage people to call in at the Coffee Stop. You will be made most welcome.”
