Lockhart welcomes First Minister to Brownlow House to celebrate funding boost

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has hosted a visit by First Minister Paul Givan MLA to Brownlow House, Lurgan, to discuss the continuing development of the venue as a hospitality, tourism and cultural showpiece. The MP also confirmed that Brownlow House had been successful in securing £100,000 from the Dormant Accounts Fund to assist in future development.
Carla Lockhart said:
“Brownlow House is a fantastic venue, and in recent years it has been transformed under the leadership of David Martin and his team.
I want to see this development now reach the next level and to do that, it is important that financial support is provided, and the support of the Northern Ireland Executive is also evident. This is a jewel in the crown of Upper Bann as a hospitality, tourism, and cultural venue, and we need to get support from key funders for the massive potential to Brownlow House to be realised.
This was recognised by my colleague the First Minister, Paul Givan MLA, during the visit and I think he was blown away by the artefacts that are in place at Brownlow.
These are exciting times for Brownlow House, and there is more to come.”

Some cancer treatments can cause unexpected changes to bowel or bladder function, which can make finding a toilet in public a real challenge. The Macmillan Toilet Card discreetly explains that the cardholder has a medical condition and needs urgent access to a toilet, helping to reduce stress and embarrassment in these situations.

Carla Lockhart MP for Upper Bann has said the community of Banbridge has been left shocked and heartbroken following the tragic death of Karen Cummings, who was found murdered earlier this week. Police investigations are ongoing, and it is vital that the PSNI are given the space and time they need to carry out their work and ensure justice is served.
Speaking on the matter Carla Lockhart MP said “I am aware of a tragic incident that has occurred in Banbridge tonight which has sadly resulted in the loss of a life. My sympathies are very much with the family of the deceased at this very difficult time.
