Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has been reappointed as Chair of the Pro-Life All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) at Westminster, reaffirming her commitment to advocating for the protection of unborn children across the United Kingdom.

The Pro-Life APPG brings together parliamentarians from across both Houses to advance life-affirming policy and promote the protection of vulnerable lives.

Carla Lockhart MP said:

“I am truly honoured to have been reappointed as Chair of the Pro-Life All Party Parliamentary Group in Westminster. It is a privilege to advocate for the unborn and to work alongside dedicated colleagues who are equally committed to protecting life.

“Many challenges lie ahead. The landscape in Parliament is constantly shifting, and the need for principled, courageous leadership on life issues has never been greater. I remain deeply committed to advancing life-affirming laws across the United Kingdom and ensuring that Northern Ireland’s voice is heard clearly and confidently in these debates.

“I want to thank my Northern Ireland colleagues from both the House of Commons and the House of Lords who supported my election to this office. Their support and steadfast dedication to this issue is greatly appreciated.

“I also wish to place on record my sincere thanks to Right To Life UK for their unwavering help and support as secretariat to the APPG. Their professionalism, research and commitment play an invaluable role in ensuring that parliamentarians are equipped with the information needed to engage meaningfully in this important work.

“I look forward to continuing to champion policies that uphold the dignity and value of every human life.”
