Lockhart joins Jubilee celebrations at Derrycarne

Local Member of Parliament Carla Lockhart has joined with the community at Derrycarne in celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen. The party was organised by Derrycarne Rural Community Association.

Commenting, the DUP representative said:

 

“It is fantastic that the Jubilee celebrations are continuing across the community, and it was an absolute pleasure to call with Derrycarne Rural Community Association at their event on Saturday.

 

The atmosphere was definitely one of celebration, with a great crowd enjoying the wonderful food on offer and the entertainment laid on for everyone. It was great to see a wide array of fantastic baking as well and I must confess being asked to judge the baking competition was a difficult task such was the standard!

 

I want to congratulate the Community Association on a wonderful event. It takes a huge amount of volunteer time and effort to make these events successful and certainly this event was a success fitting of the occasion.”
