Lockhart Is The Pro-life Choice For Upper Bann

Carla Lockhart MP • June 18, 2024

Carla Lockhart is well known for her stand on pro life issues. She has reasserted her commitment to standing up for the right to life for the unborn. Recently elected to the role of chairperson of the All Party Parliamentary Pro-Life Group at Westminster Carla Lockhart is a champion for women experiencing crisis pregnancies and the most vulnerable in our society, unborn children.

The DUP candidate for Upper Bann commented: “I have long championed the cause of the unborn and for assistance for women in crisis pregnancies.

I won’t give up this fight as there is too much at stake. If elected again by the people of Upper Bann I am committed to supporting and voting for pro-life amendments, voting against pro-abortion legislation, speaking out for both lives and advocating for better services for women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy"

Carla Lockhart emphasised the necessity of comprehensive support for women experiencing crisis pregnancies. "Women in crisis pregnancies deserve our compassion and support. We must provide better services that offer real choices and help, rather than pushing them towards abortion. This is a matter I have been vocal on since being elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly in 2016," she asserted.

"For those who believe in the inalienable right to life, I encourage you to keep praying, keep fighting, and keep taking your stand," Ms Lockhart added. "The voices of the unborn and their mothers need to be heard in Parliament. I will be a vocal advocate for both lives, ensuring that our laws and policies respect and protect them. This is not just a political issue but a moral imperative."
