Carla Lockhart MP • April 2, 2024

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has condemned as “abhorrent” the defacing of a sign containing a Bible verse on the Dromore Road outside Waringstown. Red paint proclaiming allegiance with Gaza was sprayed on the sign at some stage during Easter weekend.

We have all watched the scenes unfolding in the Middle East and express our concern and compassion towards those who are suffering. To deface a sign displaying a Bible verse, does not advance any cause. I hope the people who did this reflect on their actions.

The PSNI are aware of this incident and if anyone has any information that can shed any light on this I would urge them to come forward to the PSNI by calling 101 or the confidential phone number. I will ensure the sign is cleaned urgently.”this default text and start typing your own or paste your own from a different source.
