Junior McCrum remembered

Carla Lockhart MP • April 4, 2023

Upper Bann DUP MP Carla Lockhart has joined with the family of the late Junior McCrum and DUP colleagues to unveil a memorial bench and tree, dedicated to his life and service to the wider community.

Speaking after the event, Carla Lockhart said:

“Junior was greatly respected right across the community, but especially in the areas he was elected to represent on Council. He had a great heart for the people, and would always go the extra mile to help someone in need. He was a dedicated and first rate public servant.

It was lovely to join with Junior’s family, Sharon, Matthew, Ruth and Charmain as we dedicated a bench and tree to his memory. Whilst Junior was never one for ceremony, today was a fitting celebration of his life and service to the area. As his colleagues and a close personal friend we found today a touching reminder of Junior, and I know his family greatly appreciated this fitting reminder of a much loved husband, father, colleague and friend.

My thanks to the Lord Mayor Paul Greenfield in helping to make today possible, and helping to ensure Junior is not forgotten.”
