Change to Power NI Emergency Credit welcome

Local DUP MP Carla Lockhart has welcomed changes to the Emergency Credit system offered by Power NI.
The Upper Bann representative said:
“Power NI has advised that from 1st August, their Emergency Credit will offer £3 instead of £1. This is a welcome move, which will suit keypad customers better given the ongoing cost of electricity remaining high.
Once you top up after the 1st August, you will receive a longer 40 - 60 digit code to enter into your metre. Once you enter this code, the change will come into effect.
Power NI have confirmed that on this occassion, the longer code is not a price change code. “
