Centenarian Mrs Wilson ‘a remarkable lady’

Carla Lockhart MP • February 14, 2023

Local Member of Parliament Carla Lockhart joined the celebrations to mark Upper Bann’s latest centenarian, Mrs Wilson of Dollingstown, as her family gathered from around the world to mark this special birthday.

Commenting, Carla Lockhart said:

“It was just lovely to call to visit Mrs Wilson and her family as they gathered to celebrate a remarkable lady, who has reached the amazing milestone of her 100th birthday.

The Wilson family are held in the highest regard locally and indeed beyond, and it was just great that so many family members had been able to take part in the celebrations having jetted in from various corners of the globe.

When you take time to consider the changes we have seen in our lifetime, it is only a small measure of the change Mrs Wilson will have witnessed over a century. It was lovely to spend time sitting talking to her, and to just see how grateful she is for the life she has led to date.

I wish Mrs Wilson continued health in the days ahead and know that I speak for a large number of people in wishing her a very Happy Birthday.”
