Carla Lockhart MP • May 28, 2024

Carla Lockhart MP has shared her delight to announce that Gibson's Hill has been added to the list for a Controlled Crossing assessment, following a lengthy lobbying effort. This assessment will be carried out soon, marking a significant step towards the provision of a much-needed pedestrian crossing.

"I am delighted to have confirmation that Gibson's Hill is now on the list for a Controlled Crossing assessment," said the DUP representative. "This is a vital step forward for the safety and convenience of our community."

The crossing will be considered for inclusion in a future works programme, based on the Department for Infrastructure's available resources and scheme priorities. If successful, it will be incorporated into DFI’s work programme.

"I will keep pushing for this important project. Thank you to the local residents for their patience and support," Carla Lockhart added.
