Despite the negative and harmful comments, Lockhart remains steadfast in her dedication to serving the people of Upper Bann, a commitment she has upheld for the past 17 years in various public service roles.

"It is deeply disappointing to be the target of such unwarranted abuse," stated Carla Lockhart. "However, I want to make it unequivocally clear that these attacks will not deter me from continuing to serve the people of Upper Bann with the same passion and determination that I have demonstrated throughout the past 17 years."

Carla Lockhart has a long and distinguished record of public service. She has served as a Councillor and Mayor at Craigavon Council, an MLA for Upper Bann at Stormont, and most recently, as the Member of Parliament for Upper Bann. Throughout her time of public service, she has consistently focused on the needs and concerns of her constituents, advocating for better services, supporting local businesses, and working towards a brighter future for all of the community.

"Over the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of serving Upper Bann in various capacities. Each role has strengthened my resolve to fight for our community and to ensure that our voices are heard," Lockhart continued. "The recent online abuse is a stark reminder of the challenges faced by those in public service. It is crucial that as a society we stand up against such behaviour."

"I will not be silenced by those who seek to intimidate and harass me, my family or my colleagues," Lockhart asserted. "My focus remains on representing the people of Upper Bann to the best of my ability, addressing their concerns, and continuing to deliver success. I am deeply grateful for the support and encouragement I have received from the community, which strengthens my resolve to continue this important work."
