Banbridge Speech Festival goes from strength to strength

Carla Lockhart MP • November 21, 2023

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has praised all those who have helped organise and are participating in the Banbridge Performing Arts Festival Speech and Drama event this week.

Speaking after attending the opening day of the Festival, Carla Lockhart said:

“The Banbridge Performing Arts and Speech Festival is an incredible showcase of local talent in speech and drama. It was so inspiring to see and hear the young people taking part today and it is a credit to the young people and their families that the standards are so high.

This Festival offers a platform for showcasing the array of talent we have in this area and every year it goes from strength to strength. It can only happen with the hard work and dedication of those behind the Festival. I would commend the organisers and volunteers but particular thanks to Frank and Patrica Mulligan for their almost 50 years of service to this superb Festival.

A sincere well done to all participants, and thank you again to the organisers for extending such a warm welcome to all of us who were privileged to attend.”
