Carla Lockhart MP • September 10, 2024

Local DUP MP Carla Lockhart joined attendees at the Banbridge and District Horticultural Society’s 60th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show at Bannside Presbyterian Church Hall, celebrating what was another highly successful and well-attended event within the community.

Carla Lockhart said:

“Banbridge Horticultural Society continues to play a vital role in promoting the cultivation of flowers, fruit, and vegetables in our local area. This year’s 60th Annual Show was a fantastic display of the dedication and talent of our local growers and horticultural enthusiasts.

The vibrant displays of flowers, alongside the remarkable quality of fruit and vegetables, truly showcased the best of our community’s ‘green fingers.’ It was also wonderful to see such creativity from local schools and the diverse entries in the home industries section, all of which added to the event’s success.

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many attendees who spoke highly of the show and of Banbridge Horticultural Society’s hard work. Congratulations to all the winners, and I am already looking forward to next year’s event!”
