Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart, has congratulated Bowman Windows Ltd on reaching an incredible milestone of 55 years in business. The Banbridge-based family firm, founded by Helen and Victor Bowman, has become a household name across the community for quality craftsmanship, and commitment to local employment.

Speaking on the occasion, Carla Lockhart MP said:

“It was a real privilege to be invited to join the Bowman family as they marked 55 years in business a remarkable achievement for any company, but particularly special for a family run firm rooted in the heart of Banbridge.

It was a day filled with reminiscing with Helen and Victor, plenty of craic, and of course fantastic food just as you would expect from them! Their passion, and dedication to serving this community over the decades is truly inspiring.

I was especially taken by the strong relationship between the family and their staff team. That mutual respect speaks volumes about the kind of business Bowman Windows is.

It is also wonderful to see Aaron now taking up the mantle, leading the company with vision and confidence into the next 55 years.

Family businesses like are the backbone of our local economy, and this firm stands tall among them. I wish them every continued success for the years ahead.”

Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart, has warned that long delays in the AccessNI vetting process are placing significant strain on childcare providers across Northern Ireland. With many providers reporting waits of up to eight weeks before new staff are cleared to begin work, vital childcare services are being left understaffed and unable to meet demand. This is having a direct impact on families, with some being turned away due to insufficient staffing levels, despite willing and qualified candidates ready to work.
