Road Markings to be Refreshed in Kingsway Drive Portadown

Carla Lockhart MP • May 28, 2025

Carla Lockhart, MP for Upper Bann, has welcomed confirmation from the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) that road markings in the Kingsway Drive area of Portadown are set to be refreshed.

Carla Lockhart MP said:

“I’m pleased to confirm that following my engagement with the Department for Infrastructure, road markings in Kingsway Drive have now been added to the local maintenance team’s programme for 2025/26. The work is scheduled to be carried out during the summer months, when weather conditions are best for achieving long-lasting results.

“While I recognise that budgets are under pressure, it is vital that areas like Kingsway Drive, where road markings contribute directly to public safety and upkeep, are not overlooked. I will continue to press for priority to be given to locations where residents have voiced genuine concerns.

“I want to thank everyone who raised this issue with me. Progress is being made, and I’ll continue to monitor the situation to ensure the works are completed as planned.”

Residents in other areas who have similar concerns are encouraged to contact Carla Lockhart MP’s office to highlight local maintenance needs.
