Commenting on reports of job losses at Lurgan haulage firm Americold
Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart said:
“This is a deeply concerning development. Details are still a little unclear, but with reports of job losses it is clearly a difficult time for those impacted. This is family incomes being taken away, and at a time of a cost of living crisis it is no doubt a time of great uncertainty and worry for anyone losing their employment.
I have reached out to the company to get more detail on what is being proposed. It is important all employee rights have been upheld. Anyone affected is also welcome to contact me at my office and I will offer what support I can at this time.”
