Lockhart Celebrates Successful Kidney Research Fund Vintage Cavalcade

Carla Lockhart, candidate for Upper Bann in the forthcoming Westminster Election, expressed her joy at attending the Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund Vintage Cavalcade in Waringstown last week alongside local Aldermen Paul Greenfield and Mark Baxter. The event was a tremendous success, drawing an energetic crowd and showcasing an impressive collection of vintage tractors, cars, and bikes, all for a charity deeply rooted in the Waringstown community.

Lockhart was particularly touched by the warm reception she received from three young fans who eagerly sought her autograph. "It was heartwarming and humbling to have three little ladies ask for my autograph. They even wanted me to sign their shoes and crocs, but I thought their parents might not appreciate that, these wee gems made the night even more special."

The Vintage Cavalcade was a significant fundraising effort for the Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund. Lockhart commended the organisers and participants for their dedication and hard work. "Well done to everyone involved. The funds raised will undoubtedly help the charity save and transform lives through vital research and organ donation," she noted.

Lockhart also took a moment to remember the late Walter and Josie Kerr MBE, founders of the Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund. "Their legacy continues to inspire and make a profound impact on countless lives. This event is a testament to their enduring vision and commitment."
