Good news for Brownstown Park with resurfacing secured

Carla Lockhart MP • November 28, 2023

Local Member of Parliament Carla Lockhart has welcomed confirmation from the Department for Infrastructure that Brownstown Park in Portadown is to be resurfaced.

Commenting, the DUP representative said:

“In 2021 I started to lobby for the resurfacing of this area given the poor condition and the volume of traffic traveling to the Community Centre and the football facilities in the area. This is a busy area, and therefore the road surface must be up to standard for vehicles and pedestrians.

Despite budget constraints on the Department, I am delighted that they have agreed that this area should be prioritised. Resurfacing has now been confirmed to take place early in the new year. This will transform the area and is good news for the neighbourhood.

Many other roads and estates need resurfacing and I continue to raise the needs of many other locations with the Department. If your road or estate is in bad repair, please do not hesitate to get in touch.”
