Foreign nationals who deal drugs should be deported without delay
Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has once again called for firm action against foreign nationals who commit serious crimes in Northern Ireland, following a recent court case in Upper Bann.

Speaking after raising the matter in Parliament, Carla Lockhart MP said:
“In the last couple of weeks here in Upper Bann, a foreign national, a repeat offender, was back in court for the supply of a Class A drug. This is a stark reminder of the harm drugs are causing in our communities and why firm action is needed.
Convictions of this nature should ensure these individuals lose the right to remain in the United Kingdom.
That’s why today in Parliament I asked the Minister whether foreign nationals convicted of serious drug offences in Northern Ireland should be deported without delay.
The Minister was quick to boast about the number of deportations carried out, but I’ll be holding him to account, particularly on the case I referenced.
Our communities deserve to feel safe and protected from those who come here, commit serious crimes, and cause devastation through drugs. I’ll continue to press this issue until justice is done and promises are delivered.”
