Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart Attends Official Opening of Whitehill House Farm Apartments

Carla Lockhart MP • November 25, 2025

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has congratulated the Nesbitt family on the official opening of two beautifully restored self-catering apartments at Whitehill House Farm, situated in the Banbridge countryside on the edge of Seapatrick.

Speaking after attending the opening, Carla Lockhart MP said:

“It was a real honour to be invited to Whitehill House Farm for the official opening of their two new self-catering apartments. Set in the stunning Banbridge countryside, this is a truly special location and a wonderful addition to our local tourism offering.

Whitehill House Farm is a place rich in history, with roots stretching back to 1825. From its origins as a working farm to the arrival of the Nesbitt family in 1935, the site has long been part of the fabric of our local community. This latest development marks an exciting new chapter.

Robert and Christine Nesbitt, along with their son Mark, have poured immense time, passion and dedication into restoring and repurposing the original farm barn. The result is two beautifully finished apartments with thoughtful décor and peaceful rural views. It is a real credit to a hardworking and talented family.”

Mrs Lockhart also reflected on the family’s recent bereavement.

“Today was a poignant moment for the Nesbitt family as they continue to feel the loss of Robert’s father, George. He followed this project very closely and would undoubtedly have been incredibly proud to see their vision become a reality.”

Looking ahead, Mrs Lockhart encouraged the wider community to support this new local venture.

“Whether you are a local business hosting clients, a family looking for a short break, a group planning a girls’ trip or someone in need of a quiet escape, Whitehill House Farm is a fantastic option. Bookings can be made directly or through Booking.com, with Airbnb listings to follow shortly.

I want to wish the Nesbitt family God’s richest blessings as they embark on this exciting new chapter. It was a privilege to share in such a special and well-deserved day.”
