MP enjoys range of community events

Carla Lockhart MP joined with members of the community at a range of events recently, as Christmas festivities kicked off across Upper Bann. The DUP representative attended Rubies Craft Market at Seagoe Parish Church, Waringstown Church of Ireland, Banbridge Orange Hall and Bannside Presbyterian Church.

The Upper Bann MP said:

“It is wonderful to see so many organisations hosting events in their community in the run up to Christmas. These offer local people a chance to come together to meet up and build community cohesion.

At Rubies Craft Market at Seagoe Parish it was lovely to see the ladies of the church organise such a fantastic craft morning with a wide range of really lovely bespoke crafts, festive music by Sarecca School of Performance, and of course a visit by the main man himself - Santa!

Santa was a busy man as he then made his way across to Waringstown Church of Ireland for a lovely event where I caught up again with him – the sleigh must have been going fast on Saturday. Again, it was great to see the support from the community for the event.

Last stop was over to Banbridge for two excellent craft markets in the Orange Hall and also in Bannside Presbyterian Church. It never ceases to amaze me the skills and creativity of so many people who live locally and attend these markets. This is a busy time with craft markets and I would encourage everyone to attend these events and support these wonderful traders.”
