Lockhart Reminds Veterans ‘More Support Coming in September’

Carla Lockhart • August 20, 2024

Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart has shared her satisfaction on the successful Help for Heroes welfare sessions for veterans, recently held at her offices in Lurgan and Portadown. The sessions, led by Help for Heroes NI Welfare Officer, Ben Higginson, provided vital assistance to local veterans with benefits and welfare queries.

"I am delighted by the positive response to the Help for Heroes sessions in Lurgan and Portadown. It was wonderful to see so many veterans taking advantage of this opportunity to get the support they need," said Lockhart.

Given the strong demand, Lockhart is reminding veterans that her next session will be held in Banbridge at Diane Dodds MLA's office on Friday, 13th September. "Spaces are limited, so I encourage veterans to book their slots as soon as possible. These sessions are crucial in ensuring that our veterans receive the assistance they deserve."

Veterans interested in attending the upcoming sessions can book by contacting Carla Lockhart’s office through the following channels:

Carla emphasised the importance of continued support for veterans: "Our veterans have given so much in service to our country, and it is an honour to offer this support. I am committed to making more sessions available in accordance with demand to ensure that every veteran in need can access these vital services."
